I am currently in Oakland, CA manifesting new ways for Roots Healing to get out in the world to bring more Yoga, Ayurveda & Coconut Magic to folks.

Honestly, my favorite thing to wear these days are my basic black leggings white tank and denim jacket.

WHAT INSPIRES YOU ABOUT THE WORK YOU DO?

Seeing a shift in the way people relate to their bodies, breath, spirit and each other offers me inspiration for many life times. I love being able to be “the tour guide” as I sometimes call myself in people’s transformations and healing.

HOW DO YOU LIVE ‘MINDFULLY?’

To live mindfully means that there is always a subtle awareness of my impact with every choice I make, every step I take, every word I speak or think. To ensure that what I’m contributing to the world isn’t pulling away from it’s beauty. Yet understanding that I alone cannot change everything – so being gentle and kind to myself when I’m not making “mindful” decisions or actions.

WHAT’S THE FIRST THING YOU DO WHEN YOU WAKE UP?

Give thanks.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE YOU TO GET READY IN THE MORNING?

I don’t have a conventional 9-5, so my mornings are sacred time for me to ease into the day. I normally take about two hours in the morning for myself to “get ready” for my day.

WHAT’S YOUR GO-TO WORKOUT?

Meditation.

WHAT DO YOU DO TO KEEP YOUR LIFE (AND CLOSET!) A LEAN, MEAN, CLUTTER-FREE MACHINE? 

Right before the new year rolled around, it was a mission of mine to declutter my closets. I ended up with two large duffle bags of clothes I donated away. Since then I only shop for replacement things – new leggings or tanks; or when I’ve had a special occasion arise and I needed a fancy new outfit.

YOU’RE A BUSY BABE. HOW DO YOU BALANCE WORK, HEALTH, AND YOUR RELATIONSHIPS?

Ensuring that I keep time to myself is key. Also, prioritizing my different work projects and ensuring that these things get done first before I go and “play” to ensure I’m fully present when I am out with friends and nurturing the different relationships I value in my life.

WHAT PODCASTS OR BLOGS DO YOU KEEP UP WITH?

I don’t really listen to podcasts. And I just try to keep up with the news as best I can.

WHO DO YOU ADMIRE?

Rather than say who – I’ll say what – I admire people who are honest, trustworthy and kind. It’s hard to find people who genuinely have your back or are willing to put in the work to maintain relationships (in any form) so I really admire all the people I have around me with these qualities. They keep me inspired to do better!
