RIGHT NOW: WHERE ARE YOU, WHAT ARE YOU WORKING ON, AND WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE ITEM YOU’RE WEARING?

At the moment I’m posted up at Joe & The Juice in Soho, working along to Tupac, which they play at full blast. I’m meeting with brand ambassadors for a new company we’re launching early next year. I can’t give too much away yet, but our riders at Cyc (a nationwide spin studio I co-founded) inspired me to create a line of fitness nutrition formulas built to seriously enhance workout results. My partners and I are disrupting the current performance supplement space (which we think is overwhelming and gross) with natural products designed to match with different fitness modalities.

My favorite item I’m wearing right now is The Lucky Honey Sock. I’m always rushing from a workout to a meeting in the mornings. The founders created chic fitness footwear that looks good in my SLT class, and even better afterward with my flats, so I can roll into the office seamlessly.

SUM UP YOUR STYLE IN ONE SENTENCE.

My style is based on function over form, it’s got to be easy! I run around all day long between our new office, meetings, and studio visits so I need pieces that travel comfortably, but can transport me into a conference room.

HOW DO YOU LIVE ‘MINDFULLY?’

I admit, it’s not my strong suit. I first experienced meditation studios in Sydney, where they sit on almost every block. In NYC, I’m a fan of MNDFL. Inscape is another new space in Flatiron. 30 minutes of guided meditation in a gorgeous lighted room that helps me disconnect. I listen to the Inscape app to help me fall asleep as well.

WHAT’S THE FIRST THING YOU DO WHEN YOU WAKE UP?

I’m not a morning person. I have trouble feeling alert but I know that unless I exercise early, I won’t get to it. A product in our new line provides natural pre-workout energy. I take it before I hit my daily Cyc, Y7, or SLT class and it’s a game changer. I’m able to work much harder and carry that energy into my workday with no coffee breaks.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE YOU TO GET READY IN THE MORNING?

Not long but I get ready twice. First, I throw on leggings (usually Outdoor Voices) and bolt to a workout. Second, I shower at my gym on Astor, where I can get an express blowout at Glam&Go. They style my hair in ten minutes while I read morning emails. It’s great. I’m out of there, showered and fully coifed, in 30 minutes tops.

WHAT’S YOUR GO-TO WORKOUT?

Spinning at Cyc of course! I mix it up between strength and cardio. I do weights at Uplift Studio, yoga at y7, and dance at Bari.

WHAT DO YOU DO TO KEEP YOUR LIFE (AND CLOSET!) A LEAN, MEAN, CLUTTER-FREE MACHINE?

I go through “spring cleaning” about six times per year. I use ThredUp, a service that sends me an empty bag. I put my clothes into it and send it back, they sell some and give the remainder to charity.

YOU’RE A BUSY BABE. HOW DO YOU BALANCE WORK, HEALTH, AND YOUR RELATIONSHIPS?

When we first launched Cyc, I struggled with balance. I now realize that if I put my relationships first, I’m actually much more effective at work. Learning from our collective past burn-out stories, my partners and I created a company ethos with a heavy emphasis on personal time, self-care and exercise.

WHAT PODCASTS OR BLOGS DO YOU KEEP UP WITH?

This American Life on NPR. Most of reading right now is about new and interesting ingredients. I’m also really enjoying Arianna Huffington’s new site, Thrive Global, which offers great insight into current wellness trends.

WHO DO YOU ADMIRE?

I admire all the new parents in my life. My partner Matt Scott is balancing being a CEO of our start-up with a brand new baby at home. Two of my best girlfriends just shifted from serious careers in law and finance to completely dedicating themselves to raising incredible humans. It’s the hardest work there is.

FAVORITE SPOTS FOR A HEALTHY MEAL?

Juice Press. Their soups are getting me through the winter. Souper Greens is my number one, their Pureed Cauliflower is a very close second.
